Fantastic position just blocks away from the vibrant waterfront! Breakfast was a good surprise with extensive options. Staff was generally accommodating, especially in assisting with accessibility needs. The facilities need some upgrades, but overall, a pleasant experience.

The hotel location was great. Staff very responsive to needs.
Housekeeping hit or miss. Some days we got shampoo and soap, other days we had to ask for it. Same goes for towels and other amenities Very small rooms. Only 1 accessible outlet for charging. At least 1 or 2 usb charging ports would have been nice.

The location was good, plenty of choice at breakfast
I asked at Reception when we checked in if parking was included in our rate and told it was but when we checked out? The charges were added. I questioned this and was told the information I had t been given at check in had been incorrect.

The views from the balcony were fine!
We faced significant issues with our room comfort. The sleeper couch was broken. Housekeeping left dirty towels in the room, unacceptable for the price we paid. Our frustration mounted as we were moved multiple times without a comfortable solution.

The location of The Commodore really stands out. Just a short walk from the waterfront, it made exploring Cape Town easy. The room had a great view of Table Mountain, which I appreciated every morning. Breakfast offered a solid buffet with a decent variety, though the scrambled eggs were particularly enjoyable. Staff members were friendly and mostly helpful. I experienced issues with loud air conditioning in my room, disrupting my sleep. The decor felt somewhat dated and could use a refresh. Despite some inconveniences, I would likely consider this hotel again for its prime location and lovely views.

Top location for Cape Town excursions... On foot to Waterfront.
Receptionist very unfriendly (12.2.19 at 11 am). Carpet in the room dirty. Generally too expensive. Shuttle should also be cheaper... Minibar was empty!!

The hotel is ideally located just a five-minute walk from the V&A Waterfront, providing easy access to shopping and dining options. The public areas are beautifully designed with a nautical theme, and the staff displays really good hospitality, ensuring all needs are met. Breakfast offers a generous buffet with fresh produce, cooked options, and an egg station. The outdoor swimming pool area is a great spot for relaxation after a busy day of meetings.
The room felt slightly dated with noisy air conditioning.
